I really like your software and it has become indispensable to my daily mail workflow. Which is why I’m making two enhancement requests:
1) The ability to create rules that will automatically flag incoming messages and will also allow me to perform actions based upon the FlagIT tag.
2) AppleScript/Automator support.

Thank you - love the feedback. So, #1 is already on our notebook - it should be aprt of some new verison "soon"... : )
As for Applescript support... Definitely opened, but what exactly would you like to be able to do? I don't know how easy it will be to add AppleScript support, but we can definitely look into it...

Right - ok - but so you would like Flagit! to run a custom AppleScript when you flag a message? Sorry - not sure I see the scenario, still...

Sounds like you might not have the latest version of Flagit!? Could you please check that you have version 1.6?

Sorry for the delay, basically I'm hoping to have either. If I can make a rule for FlagIT then that obviates the need for Automator or Applescript support since I can just use call a script using a rule. Really, my hope is to be able to just make a rule that flags an email, that would be the most elegant solution.

Ok - so v1.6 (now 1.7) has support for smart mailboxes, so you can build criteria on Flagit! flags that have been applied to messages. But assigning Flagit! flags automatically when messages come in, through the rules mechanism, is not yet supported. It is on our todo list, however.
